Oh no, I have never blogged before and I think I will need some help here. So to all of those of you who are professional bloggers, please HELP. Forgive me my mistakes since I am new at this. But we all have to start somewhere.
On the left you can see one of my dolls. If you have not guessed it yet. I make dolls. And I am German. So hence, Germandolls. I have been living in the US since 1995. I miss Germany intensely. Any other Germans out there? Please, come talk to me. I'd love hear from you. Tell me about your experiences in the New World.
Other than that I'd like to share some thoughts on dollmaking and crafts.

If you ever come to Missouri I can take you to Hermann. It's fabulous and many people say that it reminds them of Germany. It was settled by German immigrants and has a rich German heritage still today. They say that they settled there because it reminded them so of Germany.
My husbands Grandmother, Oma was from Berlin and was a really awesome lady. A PhD professor and stong willed woman. My hubby talks often of her and how she would say things like "Ack Mange you heiny, I will grind your po po into applesauce"
I know the spelling is off, but I am sure you understand :) She would read to my husband and his brother in German. She taught them to speak German and took them there as well.
