Panda Panic

Pandas anyone? Don't say "No" to the Panda or you know what will happen, right? I gave you a fair warning.

Seriously, you must check out this video! Though it may be totally off topic. It has nothing to do with fall or anything I have written about lately. Just plain weird stuff. A company in Egypt making cheese - named Panda? Is this for real?



And that is why you must buy one of my Pocketdresses with little pandas on them. Is that clear, folks?

Fall Fun

Today the temperatures are in the 90s again...Sigh! I wish I was in charge of the weather. I am German after all. Even after living in Colorado for all these years, I can't get used the heat. I miss my gray German rainy days. According to my sisters' reports, it's been raining a lot in good old Germany. Not fair!...

So I continue dreaming of fall. I got the cutest new fall fabric in today. But I have not washed it yet. Do you wash all your fabrics? I wash every single piece of fabric that comes in. For one thing, to preshrink it. It's not like the dollies would complain about their clothes getting too tight after the first laundering...But you never know who handled it, right? I can't wait to cut into this cute new fabric. Maybe tomorrow? But for now I have been focused on making more little Pumpkin Pocketdresses. I so adore that cute fabric. Luckily I got a big stash of it. Hope I never run out!

Now which color do you prefer? Green or the wheat color? I love both so much!

New Japanese Fabric...

Oh dear, I did it again. I bought more fabric. Only 5 yards I swear! I found it at my favorite store in all of Denver, the "Fancy Tiger". Great place. I can never get out without buying something...

Remember my post from the beginning of the year? I was going on a fabric diet. I have entirely too much fabric in my house. My husband is complaining about all the bins with fabric that clutter every corner in the house..

But what can you do, when you get tempted at every corner?

Here are the pictures of the cute pocketdress I made from one of the fabrics.
My kids love slug bugs. You know that game where you slap people when you see a " slug bug" on the road. I love those cars! Some day I'd like to have one. Two of my uncles had a Volkswagen Kaefer (German word for bug) when I was growing up. I sure loved getting a ride in them.

My Doll Clothes on Miss Corolle and Madame Alexander Dolls

Recently I have received more orders by people who don't own Waldorf style dolls. To my own surprise the doll clothes I make looked great on various types of cloth and vinyl dolls. Just because a doll is made of plastic doesn't mean she won't enjoy a German Dolls Pocketdress... The Miss Corolle Dolls look so sweet wearing my pocketdresses....=)Last fall I made some doll clothes for a Madame Alexander Baby Doll. My 12 inch pocketdress and diaperset fit the doll perfectly!

New Easter Doll

One of my hot selling items last spring was made from another cute kawaii print. It also featured baby animals. This fabric is of the same great linen quality as the lamb fabric. It just feels so nice and crisp - and very natural. I guess what I dislike most about synthetic materials, is that they feel so bad when you touch them. Natural fibers feel just right! Linen is probably my favorite fabric in that respect. Unfortunately I cannot find the yellow chicks fabric on a yellow background any more. It appears to be out of print and has become rare. Please, let me know if you see it somewhere. I did find more of the fabric with a pink background. So the fabric addict in me got the pink "fix" instead. Blushes...
I finished this cute baby doll yesterday. I had a hard time deciding on a name when I was listing her on etsy. Any ideas, suggestions? She has lovely medium brown skin, brown eyes, and soft brown curls. And she wears one of the adorable sweet pink chicks dresses.

Japanese Fabrics Rock!

Hey, hey, hey,

Finally I got something to show for all the money I spent on Japanese fabrics lately...It is so expensive but I really loved working with it. What do you think?

The Dancing Rabbits fabric was a thicker linen quality. A little bulky and harder to work for small doll clothes. But I adore the bright colors!

I even made a pair of matching shoes with needlefelted Dancing Rabbits.

I cannot believe I actually did it. I am not the most patient person in the world. But my nimble fingers and good eyesight helped with this project...

Miniscule amounts of wool roving found their way onto this pair of felt booties...
